Top Ten Books on my Fall 2024 To-Read List
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This is my first contribution to ThatArtsyReaderGirl’s Top Ten Tuesday, and what better prompt to start with than today’s: Top Ten Books on my Fall 2024 To-Read List. I love creating seasonal TBR lists, especially in the autumn and winter. Do I read all of the books on it? No (I’m always so ambitious when I make these lists!), but I try to read as many as I can. And I know that the books on that specific list are going to have the exact seasonal vibes that I tend to look for, so that makes the mood reader in me happy as well.
For the fall, I tend toward thrillers (especially in September and October) or fantasy or magical realism. There’s something about the coziness of autumn that makes me grab these genres, and if you’re similar, you might find the list below to be helpful if you create your own fall TBR.
The Unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young

The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager

Home is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose

While going through their parent’s belongings, the siblings stumble upon a collection of home videos and decide to revisit those happier memories. But, as quickly as she arrived, Josie disappears. Only then does Alix discover that Josie has left a terrible and terrifying legacy in her wake, and that Alix has become the subject of her own true crime podcast, with her life and her family’s lives under mortal threat.

I need to get more into thrillers, but I am always a bit unsure about it. Some of the authors I’d like to try are Alix E. Harrow, Riley Sager and Lisa Jewell, I’ve heard great things about the three of them so I hope you enjoy their books. Good luck with your TBR!

I love thrillers so much, and they’re perfect for spooky season! If you want to get more into thrillers, someone like Freida McFadden is also a great option. Her books are fast reads, and they’re consistently 4-5 stars for me!
